Wyndham project ‘playing by rules’

THE MAJOR PLAYERS in the redevelopment of Sam Lord’s Castle have given the assurance that they are operating above board.

That word has come from acting general manager of Sam Lord’s Castle Development, Michael Phillips, as well as the Wyndham Hotel Group’s vice-president of operations for Latin American and the Caribbean, Eduardo Cruz Del Rio.

The Wyndham Group was awarded the contract to operate the 450-room hotel, which is estimated to cost US$200 million and expected to finish midway through 2019.

During a press conference yesterday morning at the Old Town Hall building in Cheapside, The City, Phillips said permission had already been granted to begin construction on the state-of-the-art Wyndham Grand Resort. (RB)
