AN EXPERIENCED administrator wants to provide Barbados and West Indies’ cricket with a lot more than a ray of hope.
Contending he has the experience and ideas which can be beneficial to cricket in Barbados and the region, attorney at law and long-standing board member Calvin Hope yesterday confirmed he will be contesting the post of vice president at the Barbados Cricket Association’s (BCA) Special Meeting of Members on July 27.
“My record and contribution to the BCA is well documented. I have good experience and my involvement in cricket is pretty well known,” Hope told WEEKENDSPORT.
Hope said his innovative ideas for Barbados’ cricket such as a strategic plan, an academy, players’ contracts and players’ attachments in England were documented in his manifesto when he challenged Joel Garner for the BCA presidency in 2007 and 2009. (EZS)
