Surveyors from the WWD of the BWA soon in the field
AS PART OF its ongoing efforts to provide better service and support, the Barbados Water Authority will be conducting a Sewer Survey in the sewered districts of the Bridgetown Sewage Treatment Plant (BSTP) and the South Coast Sewage Treatment Plant (SCSTP).
The Sewer Survey will commence on Wednesday and continue for the remainder of the year. Surveyors, dressed in BWA uniforms and carrying BWA identification badges will be visiting homes and businesses in the sewered districts daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
While in the field the surveyors will be collecting information to update the BWA customer records, cross checking and verifying customer data, conducting inspections of properties, conducting follow-up visits and checking to obtain any additional customer information that is needed. This follows weeks of training of the surveyors by the BWA Wastewater Division (WWD).
As a result, the BWA is seeking the public’s support and cooperation during the survey and is requesting customers to have available a recent water bill for service verification during the inspectors’ visit.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to make sure that the information they share with the surveyors is accurate. This and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence by the surveyors and the BWA.
Questions and queries can be directed to the surveyors in the field and further information can also be obtained by calling 436-4200 Ext. 4600 (BSTP) or Ext. 4621 (SCSTP).
The BWA thanks its valued customers for their support as it works to improve its services and the operations of the sewerage system. (PR)
