LAKERS really did need that overseas-based point guard to beat Pinelands.

No, not Andre Lockhart.

Chiamaka Browne hit the biggest shot in Lumber Company Lakers’ history, scoring the game-winning floater in overtime to seal the club’s fifth title in Thursday’s sensational 106-104 Game 5 stunner over Orange 3 Pinelands in the Co-operators General Insurance Premier League Basketball Finals.

The moment couldn’t have been more satisfying for the Husbands men, who got the better of Lockhart after the former Laker shockingly returned home from England to play on the other side for the finals decider at the Barbados Community College. (JM)
