A NEW Barbados-headquartered investment management business called Williams Caribbean Capital has been launched.

It is a joint venture between Williams Industries Inc. and the investment business of the former Digicel chief executive officers Barry O’Brien and Ciarán Burke.

Williams Industries is a Caribbean conglomerate of over 30 businesses.

Williams Caribbean Capital’s strategy is to invest in companies throughout the region which have a strong business model and the potential for enhanced growth levels.

The chairman of Williams Industries, Ralph “Bizzy” Williams, who has successfully lead and grown Williams Industries for over 40 years, commented that the time is right for increased investment in the Caribbean.

He said his group of companies wanted to avail themselves of these opportunities and they were delighted to be partnering again with O’Brien and Burke.

O’Brien and Burke said they were excited about teaming up again with Williams Industries, having previously been former CEOs and fellow board directors with Williams at Digicel Barbados. Williams Industries is a significant shareholder in Digicel Barbados.

The business will soon announce some early investments whilst continuing its search for additional suitable investment opportunities. (PR/NB)
