THE BARBADOS FIRE SERVICE (BFS) has launched an investigation after two Christ Church businessmen became embroiled in a war of words over an emergency exit.

Herman Maloney, of Cove Nightclub in St Lawrence Gap, is hopping mad that the owners of Paulo’s Churrasco Do Brasil have started construction at the back of their property, closing access to an emergency exit from the club.

Spokesperson for Cove, Junior Quinton, said the owner of Paulo’s, Robin Johnson, built a ramp at the back of the property last week, blocking one of the two exits constructed two years ago.

Quinton added if there was a major fire or event in the building, there would be no way for people to get out. (LK)
