BARBADOS IS IN LINE to receive a further US$270 000 from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Chief of operations at the IBD, Javier Urra, said the technical assistance grant would be used to promote dialogue between the public and private sectors, improve the delivery of capacity building and strengthen the capability of public agencies to process international trade of goods and services.
His made the announcement on Wednesday during the closing workshop for the Barbados Competitiveness Programme, which the IDB jointly funded with the Government.
Urra informed those present at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre that the agency was very pleased with the outcome of the programme. (WILLCOMM)
