Family must ‘join crime fight’
Crime across the Caribbean has been on the rise in recent times; however, the family, which plays an integral role in society, must do more to quell this society-shattering habit.
This is according to the Anglican Bishop of Barbados and Archbishop of the West Indies, John Holder, in the September edition of the Anglican newspaper.
“In so many cases it is in the family that things begin to go wrong. Many things that begin to go wrong can be put right if addressed on time. We need to identify as early as possible what is going wrong in our families. Parents need to be honest and bold enough to seek help for their children when it is needed,” he said.
The gun, he said, was only the end of the problem. (RA)
