Fogging schedule for the week of December 11

The Ministry of Health will continue its efforts to rid the island of dengue and other mosquito borne diseases next week when a number of districts across the island will be fogged.

On Monday, December 11, the following districts in St Peter will be fogged: Maynards Housing Area, Maynards, Jerusalem, Skeetes Road, Rose Hill, Apple Grove, Mile-and-a-Quarter and the environs.

The following day, Tuesday, December 12, the Vector Team will be in St Andrew and will conduct fogging operations in Shorey Village, Savannah Road, Douglin Tenantry Road, Walkers, Bawdens, Babylon Road, Redman Road and surrounding areas.

The Vector Control team will be in St George on Wednesday, December 13, and will spray Newbury, Gun Hill, Country Road, Bridge Cot, Cottage, Market Hill and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, December 14, the following areas in St James will be targeted: Holetown, 1st & 2nd Street Holetown, Jamestown Park, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue and the environs.

The team will conclude fogging operations in St Michael on Friday, December 15, and will spray Wildey, Gas Product Gap, Flagstaff, Ifill Road, Streats Road, Clapham Ridge, Clapham Park, Fordes Road and surrounding districts.

The fogging operations run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day and residents are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to penetrate.

Parents are reminded that children should desist from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine. (BGIS)
