Squatters hopeful
They are keeping their fingers crossed, hoping parliamentary representative for St John, Charles Griffith, keeps his promise that more than 100 squatters in Welch Village/Bath Land could buy the land on which they reside.
Last Sunday, during a town hall meeting at Victory Wesleyan Holiness Church in Welch Village, Griffith, who is also Minister in the Ministry of Housing, told residents they would be able to purchase the land at ten cents per square foot, and Government would pay the rest.

He added the forms would be submitted to the ministry, which would kickstart the process. (SB)
