As the National Housing Corporation (NHC) continues its crackdown on delinquent tenants, pensioner Charles Fraser is unsure of his future.

Speaking from his Phillips Road, Pinelands, St Michael home on Friday, the 73-year-old told the NATION he was served with a notice to quit from attorney Fiona Greenidge on behalf of the NHC, dated August 22.

The letter detailed Fraser was in arrears by $25 235, and had seven days to vacate the premises. He said he had only received the letter last Thursday; therefore, according to the notice, he should have handed back the keys two days ago.

“I was one of the first people to come up here in the 1950s with my mother Annie Fraser,” he said. (RA)
