Though concious of the need to improve certain aspects of her game, national female table tennis champion Anthonette Riley is proud of her achievements in 2018.

The 20-year-old University of the West Indies student is somewhat rejuvenated after taking a short break towards the end of last year.

Riley, who is majoring in Spanish and Management at the Cave Hill Campus, retuned to the competition in time for the domestic club season where she represented Double A Village Lime Rising Sun in the First Division.

The slimly-built right-handed attacking player made the Barbados team for the annual Caribbean Championships, but it was in the Barbados Olympic Association Independence Invitational Games (BiiG) Islandwide Tournament in October and November that she excelled, proving herself to be a player with exceptional ability and class. (PH)
