UPDATE: Masked gunmen injure two men

Police have confirmed reports of shooting in New Orleans.

Police spokesman Sergeant Michael Blackman said, around 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, January, 15 police responded to a report of a shooting at New Orleans St Michael in which it is reported that four masked men opened fire from an area between the 6th and 7th Avenue New Orleans St Michael.

Blackman said Leejay Walker 21, of 8th Avenue New Orleans St Michael received gunshot injuries to both of his feet and Henderson Hewitt 52, of 7th Avenue New Orleans St Michael, received gunshot injuries to his left thigh. Both men were transported to the QEH.

Police are appealing to anyone who can provide any information that can assist us in the investigations is asked to contact the Police Emergency at 211 Crime Stoppers at 1800TIPS or 18008477 CID at 4307189/90 or any Police Station.
