BWA changing pump on Saturday

Residents in parts of Christ Church and St Michael should prepare for low pressure or service outages on Saturday when the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is scheduled to change a well pump at the Belle Pumping Station.

The change is scheduled to be made between 2 and 4 p.m. and both residential and commercial customers will be affected.

In St Michael, these include Neils, Constant, Mount Friendship, Tichbourne, Howells Cross Road, Belmont, Mapp Hill, Fort George, Belleville, Carrington Village, Chapel Gap, Waterford, Bush Hall, Spooner’s Hill, White Hall, Grazettes, Station Hill, Black Rock, Cave Hill, Codrington, Paradise Heights, Halls Road, Martindale Road, Constitution Road, Bay View, Brittons Hill and surrounding districts.

Hastings, Rendezvous, Amity Lodge, Marine Gardens, Navy Gardens, Worthing, Graeme Hall, Top Rock, Maxwell, Deal Gardens, Fairholme Gardens, Oistins, Enterprise and surrounding districts in Christ Church are also in the zone.

Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water for the duration of the shutdown. (PR/SAT)
