Pat Nehaul dies

Former director of the defunct Barbados Tourist Board, Patricia Nehaul has died.

The tourism stalwart, who was responsible for setting up the hotel classification system in Barbados, passed away Tuesday after an illness. She was 86.

Nehaul began her tourism career in the 1950’s as a receptionist at Seawell Airport for the Publicity Committee, the first tourism agency that has been succeeded by today’s Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.

She was the mother of Andrew and Patrick Nehaul and Saski Nehaul Brown. (GC)
