NATIONAL UNION OF PUBLIC WORKERS president Akanni McDowall is concerned Government’s special programme to get retrenched workers back on their feet has not been fully implemented.
McDowall, who is a member of the Barbados Economic Recovery and Transformation Monitoring Committee, said workers who lost their jobs last year were now faced with a “lull”, having received their six months of unemployment benefits.
