The National Housing Corporation (NHC) came in for a severe tongue lashing from residents of The Pine, St Michael following the death of teenager Kyriq Boyce.

Boyce, 18, was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday after he fell about 100 feet down a well near his home. whatsapp-alerts-bloc

Upset residents accused the NHC of negligence, as they said they had been complaining about dangerously eroded wells in the area for years.

They said the Government entity was now trying to save face by “acting” after a life had been lost. (CA)
