The flood watch that was in effect for Barbados has been discontinued.

The Barbados Meteorological Office discontinued the flood watch this evening at 6.

A release states that analysis of the weather conditions affecting the island during the afternoon indicated that the threat of flooding has diminished.

Earlier in the day there were heaving rains, which triggered a flood watch for low-lying areas. (Barbados Met Office)
