Reports reaching Nation News indicate the man took a group to the southern town for the popular Friday night lime and was in the vehicle waiting on them to return.
During what was apparently a robbery attempt, he was shot in the hand.
The taxi driver, whose identity is not known at this time, was taken for treatment by ambulance.
