All systems are go for operations to resume at the Randal Phillips Polyclinic.

And come Monday, people within the catchment area will be able to return “home”.

This was confirmed by Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic yesterday during a tour of the Oistins, Christ Church facility.

“We’ve been able to isolate and deal with all of those issues. We had some environmental issues, drainage for example. There were also some strange odours that were coming into various areas in the polyclinic and in spite of the best efforts of the staff and even our own staff, we could not really identify where they were coming from.

“We had to solicit the assistance of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources to check all of the sewage lines and all of the drainage systems and so on. They were able to detect where we had some stagnation in the system and also where in some cases there were traces of old engine oil. (RA)
