The national senior women’s football team is as ready as can be for the forthcoming CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifiers in Kingston, Jamaica.

That’s the firm view of Barbados Football Association technical director Ahmed Mohamed.

The 24-member contingent, which includes 19 players and five officials, will leave the island today for the five-nation series.

“So far the preparation is good. It was a long preparation and the list was long. Now we are training with the last 19 players who were selected to travel. Last night [Thursday] the motivation was high and the girls are ready mentally, and that is the most important thing at this point,” Mohamed told the Saturday Sun Sport ahead of the September 30 to October 8 competition.   (RG)
