One of the two pumping stations which was functioning at reduced capacity yesterday is back up and running.

Yesterday customers St. Philip and Christ Church experienced water outages and low pressure.as a result of the Hampton Pumping Station power outage.

The Barbados Water Authority said in a statement that work on the well pumps at that facility was completed late last night and pumping resumed to all areas.

However, the BWA cautioned customers to be mindful and use the water conservatively so that everyone may benefit.

The Authority said it would be concentrating its effort on the equipment fault at Apes Hill location today.

“This work is expected to affect residents of some St. Andrew districts. These include Apes Hill, Mose Bottom, Gregg Farm, Hillaby, White Hill and surrounding areas. The BWA will assist residents of the affected areas via water tanker in the interim,” the statement said.
