Youth banned from online chats on national issues

Twenty-year-old Alexander James Ralph Lorde of Lot 4 Colleton Gardens, St Lucy, pleaded not guilty to malicious communication when he appeared in District ā€˜Dā€™ Magistrates Court on Friday.

Lorde was charged in connection with a social media post which contained indecent and obscene language under the Computer Misuse Act, police say.

He was granted bail of $10 000 and restricted from online activities involving group chats on national issues.

The case was adjourned until June 10, 2020. (PR/SAT)
