UPDATE: Police identify body found in Careenage

The body which was recovered from a vehicle submerged in The Careenage has been identified as Carlisle Browne of #250 Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church.

A statement from police said the body was positively identified by close family members who visited the scene.

Police spokesman Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said the vehicle was finally pulled from the water about 1:40 p.m.

They received the report from the Coast Guard around 7:50 a.m. that a vehicle had been spotted in the water near the Screw Docks. Investigations are continuing. (PR)
