It’s high time laid-off LIAT pilots get the monies owed to them.

The National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) made that clear in a statement on Thursday in which they appealed to the regional airline, which is headquartered in Antigua, to compensate Barbadian pilots.

The union expressed the hope that during an upcoming meeting, this outstanding payment issue would be addressed.

The NUPW acknowledged that COVID-19 had negatively impacted the industry, but pointed out that many of the issues predated the pandemic. (TG)
