Police launched an investigation into an attack on two young people at Lodge Crescent, Lodge Road, St Michael, last night that left both nursing head injuries.

Around 7:24 p.m., police responded to the scene of the attack where they found a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man lying on the ground behind a residence.

Investigations reveal that the victims were sitting under a tree in the area when they were approached by two unknown males. One of the men struck the woman in her head with a metal object, causing her injuries. The man continued to scuffle with the men who threw stones at him hitting him about the body.

The two assailants ran off in the direction of Eden Lodge.

Both victims were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention. (PR/SAT)
