Govt to conduct COVID-19 vaccine survey
Government will be conducting a survey to assess the attitudes of Barbadians to the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.
The telephone survey, which is expected to start today, will be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Management, utilising students from the National Give Back Programme and members of District Emergency Organisations.
A statement from the COVID Communications Unit today said the team will make telephone calls to approximately 900 households in all 30 electoral districts.
The 18 interviewers were given an orientation and training session on February 3. The survey is expected to take two days.
The statement said information in the survey will be confidential. “No names or identifying information will be used anywhere in the survey. All responses to the survey will be confidential and will be compiled and analysed as a group.”
Participation in the survey is voluntary, however, the public is encouraged to cooperate as the results will guide a public education programme on matters relating to COVID, including vaccination. (PR)
