The area of disturbed weather currently passing to the north of Barbados is now Potential Tropical Cyclone #6.

The Barbados Meteorological Services, in an update issued at 5 p.m. said: “The centre of Potential Tropical Cyclone #6 was located near 75 miles or 120 kilometres to the north of Barbados. Some slow development of this system is still possible as it moves away from Barbados and towards the northern Windwards.

“The possibility of tropical storm-force winds across Barbados has diminished. As a result, this will be the final information statement on this system.”

Moderate to heavy showers are still possible tonight.
