Akeal Hosein will replace fellow left-arm spinner Fabian Allen in the West Indies 15-member squad for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, Cricket West Indies announced on Wednesday.

Left-arm spinner Hosein, who has played nine One-day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals, was named as the replacement after Allen was ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Hosein was one of four reserves travelling with the original squad in view of COVID-19 quarantine requirements.

The replacement for Hosein in the reserves list will be uncapped Guyanese left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie.
