BL&P: Outage caused by grass fire

Article by Kendy

Barbados Light & Power said today that crews are on standby to conduct repair work in some areas in Christ Church.

“We are aware that some of our customers in Bannatyne, Christ Church and surrounding communities are without electrical supply,” according to a brief statement on the company’s social media pages.

“This outage is due to a grass fire in the area which has damaged several utility poles. Our crews are currently on standby to begin repair work once the fire has been extinguished.

“BLPC thanks you for your continued support and patience.” (PR)
