Senior officials involved in the compilation and publication of visitor arrivals data are assuring Barbadians that there is no
reason to question the accuracy of the information.
Chief Immigration Officer Margaret Inniss, and Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) senior statistician Nadia Skeete made that clear yesterday after the BSS recently announced that December 2024 to March 2025 long-stay visitor arrivals were over-estimated by
28 073.
They were speaking in an exclusive interview at the BSS office in Baobab Tower, Warrens, St Michael.
“We had technical challenges between the period December 2024 up to March 2025. We’re accustomed giving the Barbados Statistical Service complete data, as such, because of the technical issues it resulted in incomplete data,” Inniss shared.
